Beautiful, bountiful, and low-maintenance designs for gardens, homesteads, & small farms.

Do you want to grow your own food & flowers, make your backyard more sustainable, or boost your neighborhood’s biodiversity? I can help! I use holistic farm planning techniques to create & maintain beautiful landscapes designed specifically to meet your needs in a sustainable & low-maintenance manner. Whether you want to sustain your family for a full year off your backyard homestead or just grow a season full of flowers, let’s talk about how we can grow your dream garden together.

edible & working landscapes

I specialize in edible landscapes, also called working landscapes. But, what does that mean? A working landscape is a backyard, a garden, raised beds, farms, etc. that are used to grow food or other functional plants.

Fruit trees, berries, herbs, vegetables, and livestock all count - but so do flowers (they feed the soul!) & plants grown to enhance biodiversity, feed wildlife, and improve the sustainability of the land.

Vegetables gardens, orchards, and farms are working landscapes, but also…

  • pollinator gardens

  • cut flower gardens

  • container gardens

  • drought resistant native landscaping

  • food forests

  • wildflower plantings

  • herbal medicine garden

  • grass replacement landscaping (less mowing!)

  • wildlife plantings

  • landscaping to mitigate erosion, wind damage, or other natural forces

  • school & kid-friendly gardens

  • & more
