GOOD DESIGN MAKES LIFE EASIER.

I take an approach to growing food that embraces the realities of nature and the needs of the grower to create gardens that are bountiful, beautiful, and low maintenance.

After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration, I found my favorite medium - agriculture. Farming is an incredibly creative venture which truly resonated with me. I started my career in sustainable agriculture in the Metro-West Boston area, after which I had the opportunity to serve with FoodCorps for a year in the Sandhills of North Carolina. I taught gardening, nutrition, and cooking to students across the county, and worked with the community to build a student farm and start a brand new sustainable agriculture continuing education course. Then, my journey took me to New Hampshire, where I built and managed a small scale, diversified farm serving a restaurant and brewery. I continued my farm-to-school work, partnering with school districts and organizations across the state to increase access to and education about local foods. Now, I am happy to work with Yankee Farmer’s Market in their Retail and CSA divisions, bringing local meat to my community.

GROWING PRACTICES

I believe in growing practices that work in harmony with nature, build healthy soil, and nourish our environment and our souls.

I use ecologically sound farming and gardening techniques that give back to the earth more than taking from it.

I seek to use weed, pest, and disease prevention methods that are as natural and unobtrusive as possible.

I believe in using all resources wisely and when appropriate, including human labor.
